Australian Hardwood Timber

Ausgum products are manufactured from Australian eucalyptus hardwood particularly from Spotted Gum (Corymbia citriodora), a unique species of Australian Eucalyptus Hardwood, which is renowned for the beauty of its grain and colour. This timber grows in some of the harshest environments known and is rated Durability 1, the highest rating in the world. The species we use are more dense and finer grained than most other hardwood species, making them uniquely suited for outdoor furniture.

  • 50% denser than Teak

No stain is used on Ausgum products as it has a natural rich beauty, exhibiting often vivid colours and grain variation. Its properties include a high resistance to weather, rot, termites and borers.
